Investing in the musical life and legacy of Philadelphia

The Musical Fund Society of Philadelphia

Founded in 1820, MFS is a member-supported organization that enriches the musical life of Philadelphia through its grants, awards, performances, and a variety of programs and benefits for members.

What We Do

MFS builds community through music! Our grants fund a wide variety of innovative musical performances that benefit music lovers across the city of Philadelphia; our awards recognize important artistic leaders and emerging musicians for their current and future contributions to music; we enrich the future by commissioning new works by leading composers; and we serve our members with opportunities for learning and networking with others, discounted tickets to performances, and more.
