John Frank Levey is a four-time Emmy Award-winning casting director. He has cast such iconic television shows as China Beach, ER, The West Wing and Shameless, as well as dozens of other television series, miniseries, TV movies and much more. We are beyond excited to have secured John with us for a Masterclass!!! 

Participants will receive a folder with multiple scenes from John to choose from and then they will self tape prior to the class. The is your opportunity to get feedback on your self tape directly from the casting director.

Once the participants have self - taped  they’ll just upload and send their tape via WeTransfer to sonya@creativeactingstudios.com   Please label your self-tape with your full name.

If you’d prefer to observe this class, taking part in the Q&A can be equally beneficial. John will impart some wonderful insights and wisdom on booking a role,  approaching a character and much, much more.

Dean is without doubt one of the busiest Casting Directors working in Hollywood today. His office has cast over 500 films and is they are currently 13 movies.

This intensive Masterclass will focus on auditioning in today’s acting environment. The ‘do’s and don’s ’ of self taping and building confidence in making good choices and standing out in an audition.

Each participant will receive a scene in advance and will be paired up by Dean himself. For those participating I will need your preferred headshot and resumé after you book a participation ticket. 

Once Dean pairs you up you’ll have the freedom to rehearse on zoom with your scene partner if you wish. I know it was of huge benefit to the actors who did it for the last class we had with Dean, which was a huge success. 

He is always excited to meet new talent and for those of you who have read for him before, it’s perhaps another opportunity for you to get in front of him again as he is constantly casting a multitude of projects!

There will also be a Q&A at the end of the Masterclass.

BIO

In 1996, Dean Fronk joined Donald Pemrick to form Pemrick/Fronk Casting. Since then PFC has completed over 500 projects ranging from feature films, MOW's, television series and CD-Roms. 

Specializing in family entertainment, he has worked with young talent the likes of Shia LaBeouf, Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johanssen, Leighton Meester, Ben Foster, Haley Joel Osment and Josh Hutcherson. A true horror geek, he cast many titles like Rob Zombie's, House of 1000 Corpses and Children of the Corn IV starring Naomi Watts. 

Recently, PFC has done many films for the Lifetime Movie Network and the Hallmark Channel. Their features are a variety of budgets with cast ranging from Sony's The Lodger (his first Artios nomination for casting) starring Alfred Molina, Hope Davis and Simon Baker to indie films in the past year starring John Cusack, Robert DeNiro, Cuba Gooding Jr., Val Kilmer and Nicholas Cage.

 In addition to film and television, PFC cast Blizzard Entertainment's highly successful CD-Roms, Diablo II and Warcraft III.  Focusing on audition technique, he teaches to build confidence and success for actors everywhere. Dean is a current member of the Casting Society of America.

 Allen has worked in casting for over twenty years, primarily on 1/2 hour TV comedies, both single and 4-camera.  

Allen's class covers the value of being word perfect, how to bring to life the writer's intent while making it your own, and ways to transition great improv and theatre experience into the acting style of film and television.  

All material will be one-on-one sides with Allen to help better train for real world conditions. You will receive customized notes and feedback, and then run selected sections again to incorporate the educational instruction.

We will send a link to participants to view Allen’s sides a week prior to class. You can either choose one of Allen’s sides or choose a scene of your own! If choosing to do one of your own scenes please send us a copy for Allen to  sonya@creativeactingstudios.com 

Allen is generous about giving out valuable information in the Q&A. Actors of all levels will walk out learning something new and will have a new perspective on sides or auditioning. Also, Allen will keep the floor open to Q&A, allowing you to gain the exact information you are looking for.

Select your own 3 minute scene of your own choice and tape it, or submit an already recorded self-tape that you are allowed to share. Please make sure that your tape is sent on time as Natalie wants to watch them prior to the class. She will discuss the work as well as your self tape set up and will give you notes on the day after we watch the tapes in class. 

Please label your self-tape with your full name.

During this Masterclass we’ll touch on the importance of a great self-tape and how to maximize your audition when you’re not in the room with the CD. We will also discuss researching the CD’s so that you can tailor your audition to their ‘eye’.

We will also discuss how Natalie's works / her personal preferences.

BIO

Cuban American Casting Director and Producer Natalie Ballesteros is a partner and founding member of Adams, Ballesteros, Luna Casting (ABL). Natalie has worked on various projects for Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Branded Television, HBO, and most recently cast the inaugural presentation of the Warner Bros. Discovery Access Talent Spotlight. ABL Casting recently cast the feature, The Long Game, the Jenni Rivera Biopic, Jenni and the horror/thriller feature, Rosario.

As the former Director of Talent and Casting for CBS Network TV, Natalie covered series NCIS, NCIS LA, NCIS New Orleans, Blue Bloods, Bull, The Equalizer, Bob Hearts Abishola, United States of Al, B Positive, and Mom, among several other pilots and projects. Prior to CBS, Natalie worked on a number of notable projects, including the Academy Award-winning Coco for Walt Disney Films/Pixar, Narcos: Mexico for Netflix, East Los High – The Movie and the series for Hulu, and Los Espookys and Icebox, both for HBO. Additionally, she cast the Amazon series, Soldados o Zombies series for Amazon International.

Natalie holds a BFA in Performance from the University of Miami and worked as a professional singer/actress in New York before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the film industry. Her background as a performer is instrumental in her approach as a casting director.

LISA ZAMBETTI BIO

Originally from the Bay Area, Lisa spent over a decade in NYC as an actress on Broadway and Off, writer, director and producer for many award winning theatre companies. While working at the Ensemble Studio Theatre, Lisa met casting legend Billy Hopkins who opened her eyes to the wonders of the casting world.  After interning with Billy, Kerry Barden, Paul Schnee and Suzanne Smith, Lisa moved to Los Angeles where she worked her way up to assistant with such fantastic CDS as LaPadura & Hart, Debra Zane, Bialy/Thomas and Linda Lowy.  Lisa also was a casting coordinator at NBC/Universal where she got to see the network/studio side of the industry.  Lisa landed her first associate job with  Susie Farris where she worked on many comedies for both network and cable. Later Lisa moved on to the world of procedural drama where she was an associate and later head casting director on CBS' long running show "Criminal Minds", as well as co-casting director on the spin-off "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” and much much more. 

STACY SOLODKIN BIO

After owning and operating Beth Stein Agency for 25 years, Stacy merged her company with AKA and is now retired. Having worked as a successful actress for many years prior she felt she could bring a unique understanding to help her represent other actors through their careers. She began her company as a manager and then transitioned BSA into an agency. Stacy now continues to help guide actors on her ‘Beth Stein Agency’ Instagram page and also does consulting work. The most important thing for her has always been the integrity of the work and helping actors be the best they can be and as the company grew she has worked hard to maintain the core values that made the company successful in the first place. Actors & Talent first.
