I love goal setting for my business. Each year, I take a half or full day away from my computer to think about the year ahead.  My process has three stages:  1. Reflecting on the year past 2. Setting some mantras for the upcoming year 3. Setting goals I spoke about my reflections in a post a few days back. Now, here are my mantras…  These mantras are a reflection of my business’s values: Collaboration, openness, and ownership.  Your mantras might reflect different values — the ones you live by, as you conduct your own work.  In 2023, I commit to…  … being transparent and helpful to all... while protecting my business’s primary asset — my content strategy expertise — for paying clients and my newsletter readers. … continuing to distill strategy into its simplest form. A strategy should be approachable, understandable, and actionable — not intimidating, complex, and inoperable.  … listening first. Listening without preconceived notions about what works, what doesn’t, and what should be.  … prioritizing maximum-impact work... by channeling my organizational strengths towards the right things (Rather than getting stuck in a lifetime of small to-dos. Anyone else?). I hope these mantras will help me grow as a content strategist and a business owner. They’re certainly the driving force behind some of my objectives for 2023, like: * Conducting my first workshop for writers leveling up into content strategy. We're kicking this off next week!! * Continuing to offer (new) advisory support to clients who need more guidance activating their content strategy * Revising my niche for brand messaging, targeting companies with a greater need for my help But I’ll share more on my goals in a few days…

It's the first year that I took the time to set goals for 2023 and my business, and man, it's so empowering! And your mantras feel almost like cores that you want to stick to no matter what. I like that. Even more guidance for your time, energy and tasks.

It’s always a great experience understanding processes and systems set up by others. I resonate with most of them and I’m sure you’re going to only go upwards from here Adrienne.
